Died 26 October 2008, aged 32

Constable Morton was killed in a road traffic accident while travelling to report for duty at Bournemouth in the early morning;
he died instantly when he lost control of his vehicle, which left the road and crashed into the wall of a bungalow at Highcliffe.

Ian, from the Isle of Wight, joined Dorset police on 24 January 2000;
a commended officer he had served at Boscombe as an Acting Sergeant
and since January 2007 had been a member of the CID at Bournemouth.

He was survived by his parents, his sister and his partner.
